Technical Assistance

TACHC staff assists FQHCs and new communities by providing technical assistance and resources.  TACHC staff monitors funding opportunities that support FQHC growth and sustainability.  Staff also provides resources, data, plan development assistance and reviews, grant application reviews, and other assistance to FQHCs interested in expansion of services and opportunities for capital improvements, as appropriate.

When working with new communities, TACHC staff provides technical assistance and resources to explore the feasibility of the FQHC model and assists in identifying and approaching community leaders, identifying access and disparity needs and goals, developing strategies for service and facility development, and facilitating information exchange between existing FQHCs and communities exploring the FQHC model.

TACHC can assist with the identification of state and regional foundations that have funding criteria that match with existing FQHC and new communities’ capital and operational funding needs.  TACHC can also assess the economic impact of health center operations and capital projects, as well as the impact of a site or service closure on local economy in terms of total economic output, area payroll, and total jobs.  TACHC also links existing clinics and communities pursuing FQHC status to expert outside consultation and technical assistance in the areas of community needs assessments, feasibility studies, capital development services, review and development of grant proposals, and related services.
