Deputy Director

Jana Blasi is the Deputy Director of the Texas Association of Community Health Centers (TACHC) and has been with the organization since 1993. Jana is responsible for management of agency staff, strategic planning, fundraising, policy analysis and advocacy. She administers the TACHC Senior Leadership and management programs for health center staff and oversees the Texas Migrant Care Network, health center marketing and patient outreach and enrollment efforts. She earned a bachelor's degree in political science with an emphasis in international relations from the University of North Texas and also holds a masters degree in Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas in Austin. Jana has over 20 years of experience in fund raising and has brought over $25 million in federal and private foundation funding to Texas for various health and human services and education projects. Prior to joining TACHC in 1993, Jana was the director of federal grants for the Texas Office of State-Federal Relations. In 2008, Jana received the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) Betsey K. Cooke Grassroots Advocacy Award and in 2010 the Henry Fiumelli Patient Advocacy Award in recognition of her efforts at the national and state level to advocate on behalf of America's health centers and vulnerable populations including Migrant and Seasonal Farmworkers and their families.
