Community Health Insurance Agency (CHIA)

CHIA is available to all TACHC members to provide consultation on any insurance questions or problems a member may have with their Insurance program.

CHIA deals with three brokers on Directors and Officers Liability including Employment Practices Liability so we have access to all of the major markets writing this coverage. CHIA also has contracts and partnerships to handle the benefits insurance needs of our members including group life, health, and dental.

TACHC Purchasing Group

The Texas Association of Community Health Centers Purchasing Group, Inc. (TACHC PG) was established to provide group medical malpractice insurance for members of TACHC. After the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) was established, TACHC PG sought coverage for the 'gap' in coverage for those situations outside of FTCA. TACHC PG is committed to quality improvement and sets aside proceeds from insurance refunds for these purposes such as the TACHC Performance Improvement (OC3) Manual and monthly trainings.

Corporation for the Development of Community Health Centers (CDCHC)

The CDCHC exists to assist health centers by making capital financing available at favorable rates and on favorable terms. It is the policy of CDCHC to provide expedient and low-cost service to health centers, allowing more of their resources to go into the care of their clients.
